Description:
The Bio Energy Forum is a website designed for public education as well as a collaborative tool for individuals working on bio energy projects within the state.
The Challenge:
Our client envisioned a site that would offer information on current bio energy efforts, latest news, and existing projects. The site also needed to have an interactive component thus fulfilling the collaboration requirements.
Our Solution:
We designed the site to be user friendly. Site visitors are able to customize the page width, text size, and template colors. The site features include a homepage news posting, blog, calendar of events, and a discussion forum. The entire site content is located in a MySQL database. This site was built using a content management system (CMS). A CMS is a computer software system that allows someone who is not web savvy to make changes to the website. This allows a large number of “editors” to manage most of the content and many interactive areas of the website.
