The Challenge:
Global Maintech contacted us with the need for a site redesign. Their site, which is utilized as an extension of their sales staff, needed to possess a sharp cutting-edge appearance. They wanted the new look to be clean, uncluttered, and have the ability to portray the company as a professional, reliable service provider. The bottom line was that the web page must be capable of drawing visitors in and encourage them to explore the entire site. Additional projects included placing multi-media and Powerpoint presentations online and the creation of a cgi form for entering press releases. Our end result would portray Global Maintech as a professional, no-nonsense company that is reliable and technically competent.
Our Solution:
We immediately realized that in order to maintain their high-tech image this company needed a drastic website revamping. The site suffered from an inconsistent appearance and poor image quality. We created a sharp new look building a screen-like interface using colors and computer-related elements from the company logo. We implemented a dynamic element on the homepage revolving customer quotes with the each load of the browser window. We turned a Macromedia Director sales presentation into a Shockwave presentation and the Powerpoint into an html document. The client needed to display press releases but desired very little interaction with the html. Our solution was to generate database driven press releases. Data would be entered into the database via a web page form. The data is then output as an html page matching exactly the site design.
