Farm Fresh Atlas of Western Wisconsin. Farm Fresh is a website devoted to providing a connection between local growers and local consumers.
The Challenge:
The Farm Fresh Atlas client approached abbott & abbott wanting to create a site whose purpose is to assist consumers in finding locally grown food at Farmer's Markets and Farms in the Chippewa Valley. The client desired to have an appealing site design and a simple to use search interface.

In keeping with the organically grown, fresh food theme, we created a template designed to stimulate the palate. To better assist the consumers in their search, we wanted to provide site visitors with a sophisticated yet easy to use search tool. The site features a dynamic search for locating local producers. Most of the content is located in a MySQL database. The data is searchable by a variety of criteria including producer name, type of product, city, and county. The search utilizes Google Maps, a web mapping application, to provide a visual marker of the farms listed in the search results. The Google online map is a great tool for viewing the exact location of the farm and for obtaining directions to the farm.
